Bio

Vida James is Nuyorican, currently living in San Francisco. She was a 2024-2026 Wallace Stegner fellow at Stanford University. Her writing has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, The Center for Fiction, Periplus, Storyknife, Tin House, Bread Loaf, MASS MoCA, the St. Botolph Club Foundation, and VONA. She holds an MFA from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst and an MSW from Hunter College. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Kenyon Review, Story, New England Review, and elsewhere.
