Bio


Vania graduated with her Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a minor in Education in 2001 from UCSF. She came to Stanford Neurosurgery in 2012. She initially focused on complex neursorugical spine conditions. Since 2016 she has worked in the Santa Cruz Satelitte Center inpatient and out patient care. Her Inpatient duties include consult, examination, admission, operation planning and assist, inpatient management including patients in critical care, (managing drains, EVD), medication adjustment, lab and radiology ordering, review and interpretation, discharges, patient education. Vania's outpatient duties include consult, operation planning and assist, examination, symptom and medication management, lab and radiology ordering, review, interpretation, and patient education. She is a Certified Neurosurgical Registered Nurse, has completed her RNFA and Neuroscience Emergency Life support, as well as a Hemisphere 2.0 Stroke competency Series. She is Certified in Plant-Based nutrition. She has lectured on Neurosurgical topic regionally, nationally, and internationally.
