Bio


William Lee is a fourth-year medical student at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) pursuing a career in integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery. His interests include microsurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, and innovation in surgical education. As President of the EVMS Plastic Surgery Interest Group, he founded a funded summer research program, developed educational initiatives for medical students, and helped expand access to mentorship and research opportunities. His research has been presented at regional and national meetings, with a focus on surgical education, workforce trends, and emerging technologies such as augmented and virtual reality. Before medical school, William served as a volunteer EMT for five years, an experience that continues to shape his patient-centered approach to medicine. Outside of medicine, he enjoys tennis, long-distance running, and mentoring students interested in surgery.
