Dr. Marra has a multidisciplinary background shaped by academic training and professional experience, with roots in Brazil and a consistent engagement with international collaboration. His work focuses on healthcare-associated infections, antimicrobial stewardship, and the development of hand hygiene monitoring systems, including patented technologies implemented in healthcare settings. He has contributed to epidemiological research as well as multiple systematic reviews and meta-analyses that have informed international recommendations and clinical guidelines.
