Bio

Amanda Chase, PhD, is Associate Director of Strategic Research Development at the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute. She supports faculty and trainees with funding strategy, proposal development, and complex collaborative grant applications across NIH, AHA, CIRM, foundations, and other mechanisms. She also helps coordinate multi-investigator and multi-institutional awards and develops research development resources, including grant-writing workshops, peer-review programs, and internal funding initiatives. In addition, she supports program development within CVI, including the Stanford Drug Discovery Symposium and the MAVENS mentorship program.

Current Role at Stanford

As a Grant Writer and Project Coordinator at the CVI, Dr. Chase:
•Provides grantsmanship support to CVI faculty and postdoctoral fellows
•Edits and critically evaluates grant applications and manuscripts
•Develops communication pieces to promote publications from CVI faculty
