Ana Sofia Alvarez

Bio
Dr. Alvarez is a neurosurgeon currently training in skull base surgical techniques at Stanford University. She completed her medical degree in Spain and received additional training at Harvard University and Boston University. She completed her neurosurgery residency at Fundación Jiménez Díaz in Madrid, Spain. Her research interest focus on the development of minimally invasive surgical techniques for brain tumors and skull base lesions in adult and pediatric patients.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Alvarez is dedicated to promoting clinical research and international cooperation. She served as the National Officer for IFMSA, representing 1.3 million medical students globally.
