Current Research and Scholarly Interests


My research focuses on understanding how extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling in liver fibrosis, particularly in the context of aging, diabetes, and metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), disrupts tissue mechanical homeostasis and drives hepatocellular carcinoma pathogenesis. The goal is to translate these mechanobiological insights into novel therapies targeting mechanotransduction to prevent or reverse fibrosis and improve patient outcomes with liver cancer and other desmoplastic tumors
