As one of the Conference Services Managers, Athena Serapio plans, coordinates and implements conferences, special events, workshops, lectures and all related stakeholder events at the Woods Institute for the Environment. She specializes in producing events that use sustainable practices in all aspects of planning.Athena has been in this role since 2016. From 2014-2016, she worked as the program coordinator for Stanford’s Water in the West program and in 2013, she worked at the Stanford Biology Department.
Before coming to Stanford University, Athena planned various types of events in the San Francisco Bay Area, such as small and large tech conferences, trade show booths, product launch parties, and social events. She graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Communications, emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science. Athena enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies and dancing.
