Bio
Bence Mány is a visiting researcher with the Xu Group at Stanford University, where he is working on image-guided robotic vascular access, with a focus on portable ultrasound and real-time vessel localization.
He is also a Senior R&D Engineer at a Danish medical technology company, developing technologies aimed at improving time-critical treatment and enabling invasive interventions in emergency care. His work spans medical imaging, computer vision, embedded computing, and the translation of research prototypes into practical clinical systems.
Bence received his M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he completed his thesis under Prof. Jørgen Arendt Jensen, focusing on a portable single-element ultrasound system for image-guided intervention. He received his B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).
His broader research interests include medical robotics, autonomous systems, ultrasound imaging, and edge AI for healthcare.
