BioJamie was raised in Central Valley, California, in Turlock. She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Practice at the University of Southern California, where she was awarded a membership of the Pi Alpha Honor Society. Her passion for cardiothoracic surgery started while she was a clinical volunteer on the cardiac surgical floor and solidified when she completed her senior clinical rotation in Cardiac Surgery at Keck Hospital of USC.
She deeply values education, both as a learner and as a teacher. As a Health Educator with the UCLA Community Training Center, her goal was to enable healthcare students to excel and contribute positively to patient care. In addition, she has been actively involved in mentorship initiatives that empower individuals from underserved communities to pursue higher education and healthcare careers. Her other values include compassion, collaboration, and hard work, which she is eager to utilize while practicing evidence-based medicine as a Cardiothoracic Surgery APP fellow. Outside of her professional commitments, Jamie enjoys hot yoga, hiking, traveling, and snowboarding. This winter, she is looking forward to being closer to Tahoe's world-class slopes. -

Meagan recently joined Stanford Healthcare as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) fellow and is looking forward to starting her PA career focusing on the intricacies of caring for cardiothoracic surgical patients. Meagan first discovered her interest for cardiothoracic surgery while working as a clinical intern on the heart-lung transplant team at St. Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst, Australia. This interest was solidified when she shadowed a CT surgery team at Holy Cross hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Meagan also has a deep passion for wellness, nutrition, and exercise which helped her serve as the founder and chapter lead of the first PA focused Medicine in Motion chapter at George Washington University. Medicine in Motion is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 focusing on reducing clinician and student burnout through fitness, community, and philanthropy. As a former Division I softball player at Harvard, Meagan is passionate about teamwork, fitness, and promoting overall wellness within the community and looks to bring this excitement to her new role at Stanford Health Care.

Years of reading and writing argumentative essays makes me fluent at the art of communicating complex ideas. I have extensive classroom teaching experience, which gives me a big advantage when approaching the problem of instructional design because I learned how to create e-learning courses from brick-and-mortar experiences. Finally, my passion for education technology drives me toward using innovative tools to create engaging, immersive learning experiences, within or without a classroom.

Her current clinical focus is in brain and spine tumors and complex spinal deformities in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Prior to becoming an NP, she worked as a Registered Nurse specializing in neuro-stroke.
