Ms. Bugos is the Director of the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship Program. Opened in 2016, the Fellowship Program educates and trains newly graduated APPs in transition to professional practice and specialty care, like cancer care. She founded the cancer survivorship clinics at Stanford in 2012 and continues to focus her clinical work on helping people touched by cancer restore their health after treatment. Ms. Bugos has developed other professional roles and programs over her career at Stanford, like the nurse practitioner position in the 1990s. She has expertise in symptom management, complex patient care in the outpatient setting, long term and late effects of cancer and its treatment and advanced nursing practice issues. She is a frequent speaker on these topics at the regional and national level.

    BioCharlene Chow, PA-C is a Physician Assistant with the Urologic Oncology Department at Stanford Healthcare. She is originally from San Francisco, but obtained her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Oregon Health & Science University in 2013 in Portland, OR. She has a background in thoracic surgery working with lung cancer patients at Providence Portland Medical Center from 2013-2015. She then returned to the Bay Area and started with Stanford Urologic Oncology in March 2016.

    She is the sole Urologic Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at the Cancer Center South Bay (CCSB) and specializes in urologic cancers including those of the bladder, prostate, kidney, ureter, testicle, and penis. Aside from seeing both new and return patients on her own and alongside physicians, she is also well versed in performing outpatient procedures such as prostate biopsies, cystoscopies, and bladder cancer treatments.

    Her clinical interest lies in quality improvement. She has successfully completed the Clinical Excellent & Leadership Training (CEPT) program at Stanford, and is constantly involving herself and others in ongoing process improvement projects.

    When she is not at work, she enjoys dance parties with her two young children, cooking, exercising, and spending time outdoors.

    BioLiz Fox is the Lead Advanced Practice Provider for Neurocritical Care at Stanford Health Care, Palo Alto, California. She holds a Masters Degree in Nursing and is board certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Neurovascular Practitioner, and Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist. Liz is also an assistant clinical professor in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at University of California San Francisco, assisting with the development and implementation of neuroscience focused content.

    Liz has extensive experience in acute stroke care, encompassing both clinical and regulatory aspects. She has been involved in the development of stroke systems of care as the past chair of the Illinois EMS Stroke Advisory Subcommittee and the Midwest Stroke Action Alliance. In her current clinical role Liz functions as a Nurse Practitioner in a neuro intensive care unit caring for ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes. From a regulatory perspective, she was previously a reviewer for The Joint Commission reviewing both Primary Stroke Centers and Comprehensive Stroke Centers.

    She remains active in her professional organizations; Liz is a Fellow of the American Heart/Stroke Association and serves as a member of the Stroke Council of the Cardiovascular and Stroke Nursing Board. She is also chair for the Advanced Practice Provider Committee of the Neurocritical Care Society. She has published on stroke nurse navigation models of care, is a writing committee member for upcoming aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage guidelines as well as nursing guidelines for ICU/Thrombectomy care. She has provided numerous lectures on stroke and ICU care at professional conferences. Liz is truly passionate about improving stroke care and educating those around her.

    BioAndrew Fu, MBA is a Business Analyst for the Neurosciences department at Stanford Health Care with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Stanford University (2021). He has extensive experiences at both Stanford University (SU) and Stanford Health Care (SHC).

    At Stanford University, Andrew performed a pivotal role for the Plastic Surgery department. He supported five surgeons who specialized in Cranio-maxillofacial, Orthopedics, Burn, and Plastics (essential and cosmetic) in an administrative, financial, project capacity. Later, he lateraled into Stanford Health Care with the Department of Contract Administration and Business Operations to work closely with the Executive Director overseeing operational-critical initiatives. There, he built on his previous skillsets to project manage, perform supervisory duties; timecard + policy compliance, and assisting with financial planning and reporting.

    Hobbies most cherished are with his family, teaching Chess to K-5 students (Fremont Unified School District), hiking, reading, and living a healthy lifestyle.
