Sneha Jain
Postdoctoral Scholar, Civil and Environmental Engineering
Current Research and Scholarly InterestsThe overarching goal of my research is to understand the impact of the built environment on human well-being and integrate the complexity and dynamism of human-environment interaction into effective design strategies that promote i) health and well-being, ii) equitability, and iii) sustainability.
Currently, I am working on evaluating the impact of sustainble retrofit solutions on the wellbeing of low-income renters living in affordable housing. I have strong interest to work on quantifying the impact of exposure to daylight on human comfort, sleep patterns, alterness and stress relief. -
Thomas Jaroslawski
Postdoctoral Scholar, Mechanical Engineering
BioThomas (Tomek) Jaroslawski is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center of Turbulence Research (CTR). His research interests lie in experimental fluid mechanics, applied to a wide range of applications. He works with Professor Beverley McKeon on investigating rough-walled turbulent boundary layer flows, and also with Professor Juan Santiago on studying the flow physics in various microfluidic applications.

Arielle Johnson
Postdoctoral Scholar, Bioengineering
BioArielle has a BA in Biology from Brown University in Providence, RI. She received a PhD in Plant Biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY studying genomics, reproductive development, and specialized defensive cells in the emerging model plant petty spurge (Euphorbia peplus). Arielle is interested in the spatial and developmental aspects of how plants make specialized metabolites and coordinate defense. She hopes to use synbio techniques to manipulate defensive cells in Arabidopsis. Her favorite plants include bladderworts, Hydnora, and honey locust trees.
