Luciana Giambarberi, MD
Clinical Associate Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
BioDr. Giambarberi is a double-board-certified physician who completed her general psychiatry training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (2018) and her Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry (BNNP) training at Stanford University School of Medicine (2019). Her past experience includes leading, creating, expanding, and providing neuropsychiatry education and services to communities of North Carolina and other areas of the southeast region.
As a clinical associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford, Dr. Giambarberi supervises trainees in the Neuropsychiatry Section and the Individual Psychotherapy Clinic. Dr. Giambarberi is the director of BNNP didactics, as well as neurology core rotations and elective rotations within the neuropsychiatry section.
Dr. Giambarberi has extensive experience with a diverse patient population. Her current clinical and research interests include education, epilepsy, and functional neurological disorders. -

Christine E. Gould
Clinical Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
BioDr. Gould received her Ph.D in psychology from West Virginia University. She completed her internship at VA Palo Alto Health Care System and an Advanced Fellowship in Geriatrics at the GRECC. Dr. Gould is board certified in geropsychology. Her research program focuses on increasing older adults' access to mental health care. Her research has included development and testing of tailored, self-directed mental health interventions in older adults, including a video-delivered progressive muscle relaxation program with telephone coaching support in reducing anxiety and improving functioning and a digital mental health intervention for depression. She also works to help older adults learn how to use technology through qualitative research, development of educational materials, and coaching interventions. Her most recent work examines telehealth models of geriatric mental health care in older Veterans. Dr. Gould has an active interest in training future geriatric mental health clinicians and researchers. She provides mentorship in the following areas: geriatric mental health interventions, technology-delivered interventions for older adults, telehealth models of care, program evaluation/quality improvement, and mixed methods research approaches.

Benjamin Daniel Greenberg

BioDr. Greenberg provides direct psychological care to patients in the ADAPT (Adult Depression and Anxiety Psychological Treatment) & Dual Diagnosis clinics. He is passionate about delivering evidence-based psychotherapies that are responsive and personal. He conducts individual as well as group therapy.
He teaches a psychotherapy didactic to the Addiction Medicine fellows as well as provides clinical supervision to post-doctoral fellows, doctoral students, and psychiatry residents. He is committed to helping trainees learn & work through complex situations that arise in individual & group psychotherapy. -
Ilang M. Guiroy, MD

BioDr. Ilang M. Guiroy is a board-certified, fellowship-trained physician scientist and psychiatrist at Stanford Health Care and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Guiroy is director of the Guiroy Lab at Stanford. Her research explores maternal-infant mental health and digital mental health, including the use of social media, digital communities, and AI for mental health. She developed a groundbreaking telehealth platform to deliver psychotherapy via group chat to digital communities.
Dr. Guiroy treats mental health conditions in patients throughout the lifespan, from conception to elder age. She has a special interest in infant, child, and maternal mental health and provides medication management during pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding. Dr. Guiroy provides expert support to patients coping with birth trauma, transitioning to motherhood, and fostering infant attachment and maternal bonding. Dr. Guiroy is skilled in over twelve therapy modalities including maternal-infant dyadic therapy, interpersonal therapy (IPT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Dr. Guiroy has published her research in peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Technology in Behavioral Science and Telemedicine and e-Health. She has also presented to her peers at national conferences for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and the Society for Digital Mental Health (SDMH).
Dr. Guiroy is a member of the AACAP, the SDMH, the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and the International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health. -
Nancy A. Haug
Adjunct Clinical Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
BioNancy A. Haug, PhD is Adjunct Clinical Professor and Addiction Medicine fellowship program faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. She currently leads didactics and a journal club for Addiction Medicine fellows, and teaches a postdoctoral seminar on ethics and legal issues for the Clinical Psychology Fellowship Program. Dr. Haug's primary academic affiliation is Professor of Psychology at Palo Alto University, where she teaches, advises and supervises doctoral students in the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium. Dr. Haug previously served as faculty and attending psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California San Francisco, and taught in the University of California, Berkeley Alcohol & Drug Studies program. She obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Loyola University, Maryland. She completed a clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital in public service and minority mental health.
Dr. Haug chairs the American Psychological Association (APA) Ethics Committee and formerly served on the California Psychological Association Ethics Committee. She is a Fellow, Member-at-Large for Practice, and President- Elect of the Society of Addiction Psychology (Division 50). Dr. Haug is on the editorial board of the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs and the Journal of Addictive Diseases. She was funded by SAMHSA for a practitioner-education initiative to expand training for evidence-based addiction treatment. Dr. Haug leads the Harm Reduction and Addiction Treatment Laboratory at PAU with current research studies on the implementation of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment, harm reduction for substance use, cannabis vaping and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
Dr. Haug has been licensed as a psychologist in California since 2004, is board certified in addiction psychology by American Board of Professional Psychology, and has an independent practice in Los Gatos, CA. She has clinical expertise in treating substance misuse and eating disorders using motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Dr. Haug is a Stanford WellConnect referral for fellows, residents and faculty in her clinical practice. She completed the Stanford YogaX 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program with healthcare setting emphasis.
