BioI’m passionate about the many intersections between health, technology, and behavior. Specifically with how wearable devices and mobile technologies can be leveraged to measure and promote better health outcomes across all populations. After earning my BS in Kinesiology, I have formed a strong analytical background in wearable technology and health through my involvement in numerous clinical health studies and research projects. To supplement my interest, I have had multiple academic pieces accepted by Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise (MSSE) and The Journal for the Measurement of Physical Behaviour (ISMPB).

Doran Triggs

BioDoran Triggs is a Clinical Research Manager at the Stanford Center for Clinical Research and works within the SCCR Trial Monitoring and Quality and Compliance Team.
Doran received a bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University. Doran has focused her training on regulatory compliance and study data monitoring over her 6 years in Clinical Research. Doran brings experience coordinating and monitoring a wide variety of clinical research studies, including Gastritis and/or Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis, Celiac Disease, Women’s Heart Health, Peripheral Artery Disease, Heart Failure, Critical Limb Ischemia, and Digital Health and Patient registry solutions in Vascular disease patients. Most recently, she helped develop and manages SCCR's monitoring program as well as monitor multiple trials within SCCR and other departments across the SOM. -

Minang (Mintu) Turakhia
Clinical Professor, Medicine - Med/Cardiovascular Medicine
Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDr. Turakhia has an active clinical research program, with funding from AHA, VA, NIH, the medical device industry, and foundations. His research program aims to improve the treatment of heart rhythm disorders, with an emphasis on atrial fibrillation, by evaluating quality and variation of care, comparative and cost-effectiveness of therapies, and risk prediction. Dr. Turakhia has extensive expertise in using large administrative and claims databases for this work. His TREAT-AF retrospective study of over 500,000 patients with newly-diagnosed AF is the largest known research cohort of AF patients. He has served as study PI or chairman of several prominent single- and multicenter trials in atrial fibrillation, investigational devices for electrophysiology procedures, digital health interventions, and sensor technologies.
His other research interests include technology assessment of new device-based therapies and the impact of changing health policy and reform on the delivery of arrhythmia care. Dr. Turakhia is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and Heart Rhythm Society.
