Aishee Bhattacharya Mukherji

BioAishee Mukherji is a rising sophomore at Carleton College aspiring to become a physician. She currently works in the Stanford University School of Medicine DISCOVeR Lab, involved in Diabetes mellitus type 2 research. She is also interested in computer science and mathematics. At Carleton, Aishee works as a FOCUS Northstar Mentor, mentoring and tutoring students from groups historically underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and as a FOCUS Northstar Scholar, actively engaged in science journalism for publication in an online newsletter. Outside of school, she enjoys volunteering in the College Buddies program at Laura Baker Services Association, where she plans and leads weekly events with a designated resident with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Aishee enjoys spending time with animals (especially her dog, Ducky), exploring parklands and the wilderness, playing flute, singing, and learning new things.
