Antara Chakravarty
Postdoctoral Scholar, Microbiology and Immunology
BioAntara is a Postdoc in Dr. Priscilla Yang's Lab, where she is exploring small molecule-based targeted protein degradation as an antiviral strategy against structural proteins of flaviviruses. She is also keenly interested in understanding the mechanistic details of virus-induced changes in membrane lipid composition of infected cells, for which she is using hepatitis C virus replicase complex as a model system. Antara received training in molecular virology during her doctoral work in Dr. ALN Rao's Lab at the University of California-Riverside. There she discovered key implications of viral capsid dynamics in the pathogenicity and infectivity of multipartite bromoviruses.

Yifan Gao

BioDr. Yifan Gao is a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology under Prof. Justin Sonnenburg's advisement. Prior to joining Stanford, she received her Ph.D. from UCLA focusing on Environmental Microbiology and M.S. from UC Berkeley in Environmental Engineering.

BioMy research during my PhD focused on the human neuromuscular system adaptations in response to overloading (training), unloading, aging and disease (specifically, cancer cachexia).
To date, during my postdoc, I am working on the effects of the enzyme 15-PGDH on the neuromuscular system health/connection in young and aged animals. -
Yuqi Tan
Postdoctoral Scholar, Microbiology and Immunology
BioDr. Tan is a computational biologist developing innovative tools to quantify cell identity, enhance stem cell engineering, and dissect cancer heterogeneity. During her Ph.D., she specialized in computational and quantitative analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data, contributing to multiple high-impact publications. As a postdoctoral researcher, she has advanced the integration of single-cell omics with multiplexed imaging to decode high-dimensional tissue architecture in cancer and psychiatric diseases. Her long-term vision is to leverage multi-omics and develop machine learning techniques for both 2D and 3D analysis to uncover how diverse cell types and their interactions shape development, aging, and disease.
