Jeffrey Howard Kleck

BioJeff Kleck, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University and a prominent figure in the Silicon Valley tech venture community. As an established technology and software entrepreneur, he has successfully guided several ventures from concept to becoming market leaders, even taking them public on the NASDAQ. Jeff's leadership roles have included Founder, CEO, and Chairman, shaping these ventures into influential commercial entities.

His formal education spans various engineering, medical applied science, and technology disciplines, earning a Ph.D. in Biomedical Physics from UCLA, an MS in Engineering Management from Stanford University, an MS in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the same institution.
In addition to his contributions at Stanford and Elevens, Jeff has taken on significant roles for the Vatican. Currently, as the Dean of Academics at Catholic Institute of Technology (CIT), he orchestrates cross-disciplinary initiatives, harmonizing theoretical foundations with real-world applications and fostering a culture of innovation. Simultaneously, Jeff serves as the Chairman of Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization at CIT, leading the charge in blending academic excellence with practical innovation and overseeing programs that fuse entrepreneurial principles with cutting-edge technology for holistic education.
Jeff is also actively engaged in various ventures, including his role as Chairman of Open Power & Energy Network (OPEN), where he is dedicated to shepherding OPEN toward achieving a sustainable future by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technologies and best practices, renewing the global climate through accessible power and energy solutions. Christoph Leuze

BioDr. Christoph Leuze is director of the Visualization Core at the Stanford Wu Tsai Institute where his research focuses on data visualization, data processing and user interaction. His goal is to leverage Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality to automate creation of guidance and training applications by learning from expert users. He taught the first Stanford course on medical mixed reality development and founded the Stanford Medical Mixed Reality program, an institute-wide initiative to bring together academia, clinic and industry to establish and improve mixed reality applications for patient care.
Dr. Leuze has received multiple prizes for his work in Augmented Reality including the IEEE VR People's choice award for the best AR demo, the TechConnect Award for one of the most promising technological innovations for national security and the prize for the best 3D video at the Ars Electronica Art and Science Festival. Dr. Leuze has studied at Leipzig and Chiba University and received the Otto Hahn medal of the Max Planck Society for his PhD thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig. -

BioGabriel Mistelbauer is a senior research engineer in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine since 2022. He received his PhD in computer science in the field of medical visualization in 2013 at TU Wien, Austria. After a postdoctoral appointment at TU Wien, Austria, he joined Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany, as a research associate in 2016. His research focuses on visual computing in medicine and medical image processing, in particular on the analysis of vascular structures.

Julie Muccini, MS, OTR/L

BioJulie Muccini is an occupational therapist who has spent most of her clinical career working with individuals with neurological diagnoses. She is registered and licensed in California and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC). She is actively involved in research working with individuals post-stroke, neuromuscular diseases, and osteoarthritis; additional work includes assessing shoulder movements, sprinting, and balancing tasks; she works in the Human Performance Lab with an interdisciplinary team integrating biomechanics, biomedical engineering, physiology, psychology, and rehabilitation. Ms. Muccini received her bachelor of science in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her master of science in occupational therapy from Boston University. She started working at the hospital at Stanford in 1997 and transitioned to the Outpatient Neuro Rehab Clinic at the Stanford Neurosciences Health Center in 2014. In March 2021, Julie moved to the Stanford University School of Medicine to work in the Human Performance Lab at the Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation, ACSR, as a Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance member.

Sharon S. Newman

Postdoctoral Scholar, RadiologyBioI am interested in increasing access to medical technologies, particularly in low-resource settings. I develop computational and bio-analytical technologies for early detection of disease, presently focusing on methods to increase sensitivity and multiplexing capabilities in diagnostic devices. Through developing these systems, I get to explore and play with subjects such as statistical modeling, image processing, manipulation and design of molecular systems, and optimization techniques. As a student, I have gotten to take classes ranging from many project based computation courses to linear dynamical systems to deep dives into chemistry of therapeutic drug development. I look forward to bringing my wide base of experiences in both computational and biological realms towards breakthroughs in precision health and diagnostics amenable to lower resource settings.
I also am always excited to teach and mentor, and have been involved with a myriad of opportunities including curriculum development and teaching AI/ML to high school students in US and India, K-12 STEM outreach in US, Scratch curriculum teaching to teachers in Taiwan, and graduate level courses such as Biological macromolecules to Stanford students!
