Hao Zhang
Visiting Physicist, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
Visiting Physicist-Experimenta, SLAC National Accelerator LaboratoryBioHao received his B.Sc. degree at Tianjin University in China in 2020 before pursuing his MAS.c degree at the University of Victoria in Canada. He is one of the Quantum BC scholars and the Canada NSERC QC CREATE Scholar. Previously, he worked in RF and microwave engineering and since September 2020, he focused on nonlinear optics and plasmon-enhanced optical trapping. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Los Angeles, supervised by Dr. Sergio Carbajo, and is also a visiting student at SLAC. In his free time, he likes hiking, playing basketball, astronomical observation, and painting.

Xueli(Sherry) Zheng
Associate Scientist, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
BioXueli (Sherry) Zheng is a Physical Science Research Scientist in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. Dr. Zheng did her postdoctoral research at Stanford University, working with Prof. Yi Cui and Prof. Leora Dresselhaus-Marais in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on 1) decarbonizing steelmaking using sustainable hydrogen; 2) developing, understanding, and integrating materials and devices for electrocatalysis and battery technologies; 3) constructing a toolbox of innovative techniques (synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy and imaging) to establish the fundamental understanding of sustainable manufacturing, electrocatalysis, and battery technologies.
