She earned her BA in History from UCLA, where she completed research on topics such as contemporary responses to witchcraft in Early Modern Europe and the social repercussions of the Black Death. Now her research focuses on court culture and etiquette in Medieval to Early Modern Britain.

In my role as service manager I work with librarians, faculty, donors, and archivists to develop policies, workflows and procedures to acquire, preserve, and make born digital content available for researchers. This includes managing a budget to acquire lab technologies for our digital archivists and working with my Stanford colleagues to develop a catalog of services to support library acquisitions (see https://library.stanford.edu/research/digitization-services/labs/born-digital-forensics-lab). Current projects that are in process include implementation of the BitCurator Bulk Extractor in our production workflows, defining our security policies and audit processes for acquired content and automating the process for depositing our preserved software into the Stanford Digital Repository. -

Current Role at StanfordAs the Curator for South Asian and Islamic Studies I am responsible for building the library's collection of materials from and about South Asia and the Islamic world in English, European languages, and languages of the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia. This involves building and sustaining a network of antiquarian dealers, book vendors, scholars, publishers, and libraries in South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Apart from responding to faculty teaching needs I work in collaboration with the South Asia Center, the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies, and their affiliates to provide research assistance to faculty, students, and other library users. I also oversee the Bahai collection.
