Sujal Dave
Postdoctoral Scholar, Cardiology
BioSujal Dave, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Cardiovascular Biomechanics Computation Lab at Stanford University.
He recently completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calgary under the supervision of Dr. Artem Korobenko, where he developed consistent reduced order modeling frameworks for turbulent flows using variational multiscale methods and stabilized finite elements. His doctoral research advanced large-scale wind turbine wake simulations with applications to renewable energy and environmental flows. -
Lauren Davenport
Professor of Political Science
BioLauren Davenport is a Professor of Political Science. At Stanford, she is also affiliated with the Center for American Democracy; Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity; and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her general research interests include American politics, public opinion, and race and ethnicity. In particular, her work centers around how racial and ethnic minorities in the U.S. develop their identities and political attachments. Her research has appeared in journals including the American Political Science Review, American Sociological Review, American Journal of Political Science, and Journal of Politics, and has been featured in national media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Time magazine, NBC News, and National Public Radio. Her book, Politics Beyond Black and White (Cambridge University Press), assesses how social, historical, and economic processes help construct multiracial Americans' identities and political outlooks.
She has received several awards for her research and teaching, including the International Society of Political Psychology’s David Sears Best Book Award, the Emerging Scholar Award from the Elections, Public Opinion and Voting Behavior section of the American Political Science Association (given to "the top scholar in the field who is within ten years of receiving her or his Ph.D."), the Phi Beta Kappa Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Stanford University Dean’s Award for Distinguished Teaching. -
Rosary David
Faculty Administrator, Psychology
Current Role at StanfordBee provides all administrative support to Profs Gross, Walton, Goodman, Dweck and Thomas. This also includes students and research groups in the areas of travel and human subject reimbursements, payments of invoices, verification of PCard and Travel card transactions. She also handles domestic and foreign travel arrangements and in-charge of ordering supplies in the area. She process Visiting Student Researcher and Visiting Scholar paper works.
Bee has been with Stanford for more than 20 years. She started working for Department of Urology, then moved to Department of Medicine as a Residency Coordinator. In 2004, she ventured to Department of Pediatrics to run the Fellowship Program. After working for School of Medicine, she decided to join the other side of the campus in the Department of Theater and Performance Studies and explore her creative side. Bee loves to dance and listen to different kinds of music (except for heavy metal). When she is off from work, she loves to watch various concerts around the Bay Area. She loves dogs and will stop, pet or sometimes talk to dogs that walk around campus. email -
David Davidson
Research Assistant, Mechanical Engineering - Thermosciences
BioEducation
University of Toronto Physics B.S (1978)
University of Toronto Aerospace Sciences M.Sc. (1980)
York University Physics Ph.D. (1986)
Appointment:
1986-present Senior Research Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department
Research Activities:
Dr. Davidson’s research interests span the fields of gas dynamics and combustion kinetics. During his tenure at Stanford University he investigated the chemical kinetics of combustion using a wide array of optical and laser-based diagnostic methods and advanced the use of these diagnostics in shock tubes. He co-authored over 350 research publications with his students and Professor Ronald Hanson. He continues to advise and mentor the graduate students who use shock tubes in the High Temperature Gasdynamics Laboratories. An overview of the shock tube studies performed at Stanford under Prof. Hanson’s and Dr. Davidson’s supervision can be found in the report entitled “Fundamental Kinetics Database Utilizing Shock Tube Measurements” available at http://purl.stanford.edu/kb621cw6967.
He claims he is now retired, but apparently, he is still working.
