BioDr. Antonio García is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a passion for providing relationship-centered primary care to patients of all ages. Originally from Texas, he completed his Family Medicine residency at Stanford and is proud to continue serving Bay Area communities through Stanford Medicine Partners.
Dr. García has interests in preventive care, chronic disease management, LGBTQ+ health, HIV prevention and treatment, and care for Spanish-speaking patients. He is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate in their healthcare decisions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. García enjoys spending time exploring San Francisco and the Bay Area with his partner and two Australian Shepherds. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsStructural and functional studies of transmembrane receptor interactions with their ligands in systems relevant to human health and disease - primarily in immunity, infection, and neurobiology. We study these problems using protein engineering, structural, biochemical, and combinatorial biology approaches.
