Sathya Narayanan Jagadeesan

BioSathya Narayanan Jagadeesan is a postdoctoral scholar at the SLAC-Stanford Battery Center, with joint appointments in the Applied Energy Division at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. His research focuses on earth-abundant and non-critical battery chemistries, including aqueous iron, sodium-sulfur, and sodium-ion systems, using advanced synchrotron X-ray characterization and data-driven approaches to understand interfacial chemistry and degradation mechanisms. His work aims to advance scalable and resilient energy storage technologies that reduce reliance on critical materials and strengthen the reliability of modern electric grids. He is driven by translating fundamental insights into practical solutions that support long-duration and widely deployable energy storage.

Prasanna Jagannathan

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsWe study innate immunity and immune regulation of Plasmodium Falciparum malaria in children and pregnant women. Our work focuses on understanding how malaria shapes the immune state in individuals following repeated exposure. We are also testing novel interventions to enhance protective immunity against malaria in children via large, randomized controlled trials. Our work in malaria has been based in Eastern Uganda, where malaria transmission is among the highest in the world.

Fereshteh Jahanbani

BioDr. Jahanbani received her PharmD from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and PhD in pharmacology from Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) and her postdoctoral degree from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). She joined Stanford Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine in June 2012. Her work is focused on better understanding the etiology of chronic complex conditions and multi-morbidity using multi-omics and precision health approaches. She has been leading ME/CFS related disorders multi-omics study combining the power of both family and population approaches and also cofounded “Research To The People at Stanford Program”.

Abhi Jain
Clinical Assistant Professor, Radiology
BioDr. Jain is a neuroradiologist and a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) whose academic work bridges day-to-day neuroradiology practice with imaging informatics and clinically grounded artificial intelligence (AI).
His clinical research interests include quantitative imaging and radiomics in cerebrovascular disease, with particular emphasis on intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), and imaging biomarkers in the aging brain and neurodegeneration, including limbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy (LATE).
His AI/informatics and quality-improvement interests include large language models (LLMs) for radiology reporting support and clinical decision support, with an emphasis on real-world evaluation and workflow integration.
His education interests focus on modern, technology-enabled neuroradiology teaching, including tailored language models and extended reality (XR; augmented/virtual/mixed reality) approaches to strengthen trainee learning.
