Rondy Michael Lazaro, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor, Orthopaedic Surgery
BioDr. Rondy Michael Lazaro is a board-certified, fellowship-trained physiatrist with specialization in sports medicine in the Stanford Health Care Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Division. He is also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Lazaro’s clinical expertise includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of sports medicine conditions. His clinical practice focuses on injuries and conditions of the lower extremity (hip, knee, ankle, and foot). He is an expert in using ultrasound to diagnose musculoskeletal injuries and perform ultrasound-guided procedures. Dr. Lazaro is experienced with treating injuries in runners and other endurance athletes. He is also well-versed in taking care of performing artists such as dancers and musicians.
He has extensive experience providing medical coverage for high school, collegiate, and professional athletic events and teams. He was a lead venue physician for the 2023 World University Games in Lake Placid, New York. He also served as company physician for New York State Ballet.
His research focuses on evidence-based approaches to prevent injury, relieve pain, and optimize health and performance. Organizations such as the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) have supported his work with grant funding.
Dr. Lazaro has been published in journals such as The Knee and Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine. He has presented his findings at national and international conferences, including the annual meetings of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the AMSSM.
Dr. Lazaro is an active member of several professional societies, including the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science. He also serves on committees for the AMSSM and the Performing Arts Medicine Association. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Lazaro is originally from Hayward, California. He graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Music (concentration in Conducting) and BS in Biology. He earned his MD from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Alameda Health System/Highland Hospital. He then completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University, followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University and Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center. -
Jeehee Lee
Postdoctoral Scholar, Orthopedic Surgery
BioDr. Lee is a dedicated researcher in the field of biomedical engineering, driven by a strong desire to help individuals suffering from illnesses. With a particular interest in disease treatment and regeneration, she embarked on her journey in this field. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Lee focused on developing functional biomaterials by leveraging chemical bonding at interfaces. Her expertise in this area led her to successfully create functional medical devices. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University, Dr. Lee is actively involved in drug screening using a bone-mimicking 3D in vitro cancer model that utilizes biomaterials. Her research is centered around the utilization of biomaterials to develop innovative approaches for tuning the communication between cells and biomaterials. By advancing in the field of biomaterials, Dr. Lee aims to facilitate a better understanding of cell-biomaterial interactions, with the ultimate goal of improving healthcare outcomes. With her passion for cutting-edge research and her commitment to the development of biomaterials, Dr. Lee is dedicated to making significant contributions to the field and shaping the future of healthcare.

Tien-Ching Lee

Visiting Scholar, Orthopaedic SurgeryBioI am an orthopedic surgeon and assistant professor at Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), serving in the Department of Orthopaedics at Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital, Taiwan. I completed my Ph.D. at KMU in 2023, focusing on orthopedic research and innovation.
My clinical expertise and research interests encompass orthopedic trauma, hand surgery, osteoporosis, and fracture repair. My work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the 2018 Merit Paper Award from the Taiwanese Osteoporosis Association and the 2019 AOTAP Scientific Congress Merit Paper Award.
As part of a dynamic research team, I have contributed to significant medical device innovations. Our developments include a novel targeting device for screw positioning and an advanced surgical tool for carpal tunnel release. These innovations have secured patents across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States, Taiwan, China, European nations, and Singapore. Our achievements have been honored with the Taiwan National Innovation Award for four consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2022, and 2024).
Currently, I am a visiting scholar in Dr. Yang's laboratory at Stanford University, where I am expanding my expertise in innovation, research, and development while fostering international collaborations. This aligns with my commitment to advancing orthopedic care through global knowledge exchange and professional networking. -
Joshua Levin, MD

Clinical Associate Professor, NeurosurgeryBioDr. Levin completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Michigan in 2007, and a pain medicine fellowship at the Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. Currently, he is a member of both the departments of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery at Stanford University, where he also is the director of the PM&R interventional spine fellowship and the director of the PM&R residency program.

Kenneth Michael Lin, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor, Orthopaedic Surgery
BioDr. Kenneth Lin is an orthopaedic surgeon and clinical assistant professor at Stanford University School of Medicine. He specializes in sports medicine. Dr. Lin has clinical expertise in minimally invasive and reconstructive techniques of the knee, shoulder, and elbow. As a former college athlete, he understands the demands and challenges facing athletes of all ages and competition levels.
Following his undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Lin attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. He attended residency at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Upon graduation, Dr. Lin received the Thomas P. Sculco Award, selected by hospital staff, for exemplary service and exceptional core values. In addition, his peers selected him to receive the Jean C. McDaniel Award for leadership, professionalism, and ethics in patient care. As a Sports Medicine fellow at Stanford, Dr. Lin received special training in complex knee, shoulder, elbow, and hip conditions.
He treats chronic conditions, sports injuries, and traumatic injuries affecting the arm and leg. Dr. Lin has expertise in treating complex knee, shoulder, and elbow conditions, as well as injuries of the hip and ankle. He specializes in joint preservation, tendon/ligament repair and reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and fracture care. Dr. Lin uses nonsurgical, arthroscopic and traditional open surgery techniques. He takes a minimally invasive approach to achieve the greatest recovery with the least invasive treatment.
Dr. Lin has academic research interests in the clinical, basic science, and biomechanical foundations of injury, healing, and rehabilitation. He continues to participate in clinical outcomes research and laboratory research. His research focus is developing new surgical techniques and harnessing emerging technologies for both surgical and nonsurgical treatment. He also has special interest in understanding the biological basis of healing and regeneration of tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.
He has presented at numerous regional, national, and international conferences. He has authored or co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters.
Dr. Lin is a Bay Area native who enjoys surfing, traveling, and being outdoors. He loves coaching, playing, and watching sports. Dr. Lin has provided medical coverage for various types of sporting events. He has also served as a team physician for multiple high schools and junior colleges. Dr. Lin previously served as the assistant team physician for Stanford University Athletics. -
Jason S. Lipof, MD

BioDr. Jason S. Lipof is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified, dual fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in adult joint reconstruction and complex hip and knee revision surgery with the Stanford Health Care Arthritis and Joint Replacement Service.
