Yan Jiang

BioDr. Yan Jiang is a gastroenterologist specializing in esophageal and motility disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), eosinophilic esophagitis, achalasia, etc. He obtained his medical degree at New York University before completing internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Stanford. While at Stanford, Dr. Jiang also received a master's degree in clinical research and epidemiology. His main research interests are in esophageal disorders as well as dietary interventions and technological applications to GI practice.

BioDr. Jiang is a board-certified gastroenterologist and pancreatologist. Her clinical interests include chronic abdominal pain, acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and pancreatic cancer screening. She is committed to delivering evidence-based, personalized care focused on optimizing outcomes and improving quality of life.
Dr. Jiang has a particular interest in chronic pancreatitis and completed dedicated fellowship training in medical pancreatology under the mentorship of Dr. Stephen Pandol, a leading expert in the field. Her work emphasizes multidisciplinary care, and she is actively involved in clinical trials investigating innovative approaches such as novel nutritional therapies and digital health interventions. Her research has been published in Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Frontiers in Physiology, Pancreas, and Cancers. She served as an abstract reviewer for the Clinical Chronic Pancreatitis session at Digestive Disease Week 2025, one of the leading national conferences in the field of gastroenterology. Kian Keyashian

BioThe management of inflammatory bowel disease continues to evolve, with the introduction of biologic and small molecule therapies and new goals of treatment, with an emphasis on healing the bowel. My career goal since my graduation from IBD fellowship in 2012 has been to improve the outcomes and quality of life of patients with inflammatory bowel disease. In line with these goals, my research has focused investigating new noninvasive diagnostic test, finding factors early in the disease course that might predict a more aggressive disease course and need for different therapies, and investigating new promising effective medications with less side effects.

Donghee Kim, MD, PhD
Social Science Research Scholar, Medicine - Med/Gastroenterology and Hepatology
BioI am a physician with specialized training in gastroenterology and hepatology. My research primarily focuses on clinical research of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), chronic liver diseases, and obesity-related gastrointestinal diseases, focusing on a population-based study. In addition, my research has expanded to encompass areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, and psychiatry. I have extensive experience in large epidemiologic cohort studies as well as clinical trials. This work has resulted in over 250 published papers in prominent journals, including Gastroenterology, Journal of Hepatology, Gut, Hepatology, and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, serving as the first and corresponding author. These publications have been cited more than 18,000 times.
