Through clinical research, she aims to understand barriers and facilitators to diabetes self-management, how families and individuals with diabetes respond to health technology, and how to best provide services that engage youth and their families. She is a member of the Stanford Diabetes Research Center.

Trishna Narula, MD, MPH
Clinical Assistant Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
BioDr. Trishna Narula is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, where she provides psychiatric care across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings and teaches and supervises medical students and residents. She serves patients through Stanford’s Women’s Wellness Clinic, Adult ADHD Assessment Clinic, and Centerspace Clinic, where she is the founding and leading psychiatrist of Stanford’s innovative clinical program focused on South Asian mental health. She also provides psychiatric care to a diverse Medicaid population through Momentum for Health, a nonprofit community mental health organization. Dr. Narula’s clinical practice integrates evidence-based psychopharmacology with psychodynamic psychotherapy, for which she has completed additional advanced training. Her professional interests also include public health, mental health policy, and advocacy, and she currently serves as a Councilor for the Northern California Psychiatric Society (NCPS).
