Bio


Daniel is a visiting researcher in the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Stanford University. He is in the process of completing his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he co-founded a student-run clinic for refugee and MENA communities and participates in the DeBakey Scholars Program.

His ongoing research focus involves the study of congenital lung malformations in children, where he is currently exploring the continuum from prenatal diagnosis to long-term postnatal outcomes. A few of his other academic interests include global surgery, surgical education, and surgical disparities research.
