Bio
I worked as an SSD firmware engineer at Samsung Semiconductor for over 8 years, primarily on FTL.
Major research topics include 1) replacing DRAM cache with NAND cache within an SSD, 2) maximizing device lifetime by optimizing trim operations, 3) redesigning metadata blocks to minimize write amplification factor(WAF) and maximize performance.
