Bio

Dominik Juling is a PhD student in Environmental Social Sciences (EBS). His research examines the intersection of climate change, peace, and conflict, focusing on how urban communities experience and respond to climate stress in ways that dominant security frameworks often fail to anticipate. He uses mixed-method approaches, combining multi-sited ethnography, remote sensing and GIS, and discourse analyses.
Before coming to Stanford, he earned master's degrees from Yale University and the London School of Economics and Political Science in environmental sciences and conflict studies.
He publishes across academic, policy, and public-facing formats in English and German, always exploring new fields, challenges, and questions.
