Bio

I thrive in diverse, academic settings that allow me to utilize my strengths in synthesizing information, program planning, and educational technology.

With a background in chemistry and music, I'm a strong proponent of multidisciplinary, lifelong learning. Working in student services at Stanford was the conduit for discovering my passion for developing the most effective operational processes to benefit the greater mission of higher education. I view my scientific training as an asset that has enabled me to approach administrative challenges in new ways and to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff in technical fields.

  • Graduate Admissions Specialist & Student Life Coordinator, Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University (5/21/2012 - 6/30/2015)

In this student-facing role, I provided valuable assistance to applicants seeking admission to the Department of Electrical Engineering while optimizing the behind-the-scenes workflow to process 2000 applications per year. Concurrently, I oversaw initiatives to improve student life in the department through community-building events and advocacy for student-led organizations. My impact on the applicant and student experience in this dual role was enhanced by my firsthand experience as a graduate student in a STEM department at Stanford.
