Johanna S. Rosado Lozoya

Bio

Dr. Johanna Rosado is a postdoctoral researcher in dermatology, mentored by Dr. Anne Chang and Dr. Zakia Rahman, studying skin frailty as a potential window into systemic disease, aging, and healthspan. Originally trained as a physician in Mexico City, she has four years of clinical experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, primary care, and community health.

Her research focuses on understanding how skin frailty reflects broader changes in health, function, and resilience. She is also interested in skin cancer prevention, combating health misinformation, and translating evidence into accessible, actionable information that supports healthy aging.

As a New Maps of Life Fellow, she hopes to advance interdisciplinary and community-engaged approaches to promote healthier aging, and support function and quality of life across the lifespan. Her long-term goal is to integrate dermatology, prevention, and community engagement to advance a more proactive model of healthcare focused not only on treating disease, but on helping people maintain health, independence, and well-being throughout life.
