Bio

Mert is a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. His research is at the intersection of algorithms, architecture, and software for solving large-scale problems on supercomputers. His work focuses on optimizing communications between GPUs, especially on hierarchical systems involving multi-GPU nodes. Mert recently obtained PhD in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a Givens fellow with Argonne National Laboratory and a member of IBM-Illinois Center for Cognitive Computing Research.
