Naga Achyuth Reddy is a CIRM Bridges Research Scholar in the Hagey Laboratory at Stanford University School of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Michael T. Longaker. His journey to the United States marked the beginning of a new chapter, driven by a commitment to advancing his education and pursuing a career in biotechnology and regenerative medicine. Motivated by a strong interest in scientific research, he sought opportunities to develop the technical and analytical skills necessary to contribute to translational biomedical research.

To further these goals, Achyuth Reddy was selected for the highly competitive CIRM Bridges Stem Cell Technology and Laboratory Management (SCTLM) program at California State University Channel Islands. As a CIRM Bridges trainee, he participated in scientific conferences, outreach initiatives, and educational programs that broadened his understanding of stem cell biology and its impact on society. These experiences strengthened his appreciation for public engagement and the importance of advancing awareness of the transformative potential of stem cell research.

At Stanford, Achyuth Reddy conducts research focused on regenerative medicine, biomaterials, wound healing, and fibrosis. His work has provided extensive hands-on experience in stem cell and primary cell culture, murine animal models, biomaterials research, histology, Immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, protocol development, and translational research. He is passionate about bridging fundamental biological discoveries with clinical applications and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where scientific discoveries have the potential to improve patient care. In addition to conducting research, he actively develops experimental protocols, presents scientific findings, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to advance regenerative medicine.
