Bio
As Managing Director of the Stanford Center for Continuing Medical Education, Ruth Adewuya spearheads the strategic planning and execution of continuing professional development (CPD) initiatives, leading diverse teams and projects to ensure the delivery of top-tier education for medical professionals. Under her leadership, the center offers a wide range of educational formats—including in-person, online, and blended learning environments—tailored to meet the evolving needs of healthcare professionals. In addition, Ruth serves as Executive Director and faculty for the prestigious Physician Leadership Certificate Program and Advanced Practice Provider Leadership Certificate Program, which equip participants with an evidence-based framework for personal and professional growth, leadership skills, and meaningful peer connections.
With more than a decade of experience in educational leadership and innovation, Ruth’s unique expertise as a physician, pharmacist, and CPD/CME leader enables her to design and implement transformative strategic initiatives across the medical education continuum.
Prior to her current role, Ruth was Director of Learning and Development at the American College of Chest Physicians, where she introduced groundbreaking strategies for professional growth and advancement. Her academic experience as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics (Affiliate) at Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy further solidified her commitment to education as a driving force for clinical excellence and lifelong learning.
