Rare Music at Stanford, Stanford University Libraries
I am creator and curator of this online exhibit environment, which provides digital access to Stanford Libraries' holdings of rare music manuscript scores and musicians' letters. A systematic review of music special collections, begun in 2016, has uncovered 1400 manuscript complete scores, fragments, sketches, autograph musical quotations, and musicians' letters; along with engravings, photographs, and other documents. All are freely available for close viewing and download through the project website.
Location
Stanford University
Personal Interests
I was born and raised in the lower Hudson Valley of New York State. My undergraduate major was in music history and violoncello, and my master's work focused on music iconography in William Hogarth's London, as well as library reference services for music, art, theater, and dance. In my leisure time I enjoy cooking and food culture, the piano, and figure drawing.
