Bio

Rong Liu is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Biology at Stanford University. Her research focuses on biodiversity, biogeography, and plant functional ecology, with particular interest in understanding how plant traits, evolutionary history, and environmental gradients shape global patterns of species diversity. She uses large-scale herbarium records, functional trait data, phylogenies, and spatial modelling approaches to study plant bioregionalization and ecological responses to environmental change.
