Bio

Samuel Margolis is a physician-in-training and computer scientist whose work focuses on biomedical AI, software development, and translation of emerging technologies into clinical applications. He is the founder and lead maintainer of OpenScribe, an open-source clinical software initiative supported by grant funding and with contributors from NewYork-Presbyterian, and other institutions. He previously founded and sold a technology company and has worked on digital health and healthcare technology strategy at Gates Ventures and McKinsey & Company. His research spans clinical AI evaluation, deep learning, biomedical sensing, and imaging, with publications in journals including Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Science, and npj Digital Medicine.
