Bio


Sandra is a seasoned proposal developer, team builder, and project manager with more than a decade of experience working at private and public academic institutions. Her work as a Research Development Specialist at Stanford is aimed at supporting strategic research through proposal development, building out resources on grantsmanship and funding programs, and promoting funding and collaboration opportunities. She has a Masters degree in English with a concentration in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and brings a background in education, social science, and applied linguistics to her work in research development. Sandra previously taught in the English department and for the College of Extended Learning at San Francisco State University.

Sandra supports faculty teams from across the University, with a focus on large, collaborative, and/or multidisciplinary research proposals in STEM fields (including quantitative social sciences), to sponsors such as NSF, NASA, and DOE.
