Soumyadeep Dhar is currently a Research Fellow in Operations, Information and Technology (OIT) at Stanford GSB. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur with an integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering. His research interests lie in Energy, with a particular focus on electricity markets, demand forecasting and sustainability. On the AI side, his work centers on interpretability, with a particular emphasis on distillation. Outside of research, he plays guitar, headbangs to metal music, and closely follows football, enduring the emotional rollercoaster of supporting FC Barcelona!
