Bio


Dr. Tao Wang received his PhD in Computer Science from North Carolina State University in Dec, 2019. His PhD thesis was in the High Performance Computer Architecture and Optimizing Compiler under the guidance of Dr. Frank Mueller, a world-leading expert in High Performance Computing and Real-time System.

Driven by a profound love for the Natural Sciences, Dr. Wang joined the Snyder Lab at the Stanford School of Medicine as a research staff member. His current research leverages his expertise in Computer Science, Data Science and Genetics to explore the basic mechanisms and clinical solutions of Neurodegenerative Disorders and Diabetes. His growing research toolkit features AI/ML, Wearables, and Multiomics. At Stanford, he is mentored by Dr. Anna Girsen and Dr. Michael Snyder.

Dr. Wang firmly believes that Data-driven Precision Medicine is the future medicine for all humankind and is determined to make significant contributions to this field.
