Affiliate, Program-Heilshorn, S.BioA dedicated biotechnologist with a focus on protein-based hydrogels aimed at exploring the intricacies of neurogenesis and the signaling pathways between cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion. Through the utilization of customizable hydrogels which incorporate cell-adhesive sequences, our objective is to mimic the native microenvironment of the nervous system and study the cellular responses on engineered and functional bio-interfaces in 3D systems. My research endeavors aim to advance the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries by facilitating the development of a therapeutic approach that is both efficient and effective.
