  Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDr. Gunther’s scholarly work focuses on improving psychiatric care for medically complex patients through integrated behavioral health, medical education, and consultation-liaison psychiatry, with particular emphasis on psychiatry-led education for internal medicine residents, psychiatric interviewing, trauma-informed communication, delirium, catatonia, and psychopharmacology in the medically ill.
