Linbo Yu
Clinical Instructor (Affiliated), Pediatrics - Genetics
BioLinbo Yu is a genetic counselor and a founding member of Stanford’s Genetic Testing Optimization Service (GTOS). She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2007 and her master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of California, Irvine in 2009. She started her career at Ambry Genetics. In 2014, she became the first lab genetic counselor at Stanford Hospital and helped establish Genetic Testing Optimization Service (GTOS). As a passionate clinical liaison between Stanford Clinical Lab and the ordering providers at Stanford, some of her roles include assisting clinicians with selection of genetic tests, reviewing genetic test orders for clinical appropriateness and educating ordering providers about genetic diseases and test information. Linbo is also a clinical instructor of Department of Pediatrics, and she enjoys clinical supervision of genetic counseling students.

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsThe 4T (Teamwork, Targets, Technology, and Tight Control) Exercise Study focuses on addressing the attitudes & barriers to exercise for families and newly diagnosed youth with type 1 diabetes (T1D). We are currently establishing feasibility and understanding physical activity patterns and behaviours in newly diagnosed youth with T1D using wearable activity trackers. This work also involves delivering structured exercise education to families and youth with T1D over telehealth.

Aydin Zahedivash
Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Informatics
BioAydin is a pediatrician, educator, and engineer whose interests lie at the intersection of technology, health equity, and children’s health. Aydin completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and went on to complete an MD and MBA at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School and McCombs School of Business. He has a keen interest in the medical technology space, having contributed as a researcher, mentor, inventor, and consultant in both the academic and industry settings. He is a general pediatrician at the Palo Alto Medical Foundational San Carlos office and serves as the Medical Director for Digital Patient Experience at Sutter Health. At Stanford, he serves as Assistant Director for Digital Health and AI at the Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign where he helps teach the Biodesign for Digital Health and Building for Digital Health courses. His research focuses on the role of wearable devices for as diagnostic monitors in children and how digital health can be used to expand and integrate access to care.

Justin M. Zaslavsky, MD

Resident in PediatricsBioJustin is a Resident Physician in Pediatrics at Stanford Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, following his undergraduate studies at Tufts University, where he majored in Community Health and minored in Philosophy. His clinical and professional interests include pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric critical care, correctional health, and substance use disorders.
In the years between his undergraduate studies and medical school, he served as a New York City Urban Fellow working for New York City Emergency Management. He then transitioned into clinical research, serving as a research manager at Northwestern University Lurie Children's Hospital and New York University, leading large-scale clinical trials across hospital systems.
Justin is highly dedicated to using research and technology to drive advocacy and sustainable policies that serve his patients. Through patient-centered advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and culturally responsive leadership, Justin is committed to advancing health equity.
Outside of medicine, Justin enjoys Wordle, trail running, skiing, and mountain biking.
