Current Research and Scholarly InterestsI study how dendrites distinguish the order of synaptic inputs. I have developed a biophysical theory in which only ordered inputs advance a voltage plateau along a dendrite, and am developing combined voltage imaging and glutamate uncaging experiments to test it. My broader interests include neural sequence processing, spiking neural networks, and how dendritic mechanisms can inform artificial intelligence and neuromorphic computing.

BioI am a second-year graduate student advised by Dr. Anthony Ricci, currently studying how membranes can modulate mechanosensitive ion channel kinetics. My research trajectory has been diverse, starting with human neuroimaging using diffusion-weighted scans of clinical populations, transitioning to the molecular biology of oligodendrocyte myelination, and now moving into the biophysics and electrophysiology of audition.
