Jody Leng

Staff, Anesthesia - Anesthesia Group BBioDr. Leng is a board-certified anesthesiologist, specializing in regional anesthesiology. She attended medical school at the University of Miami, and completed her anesthesiology residency and Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine (RAAPM) fellowship at Stanford Health Care. Prior to her medical career, she worked as an R&D engineer at a biomedical device startup in Silicon Valley. She currently serves as the Director of RAAPM at the VA in Palo Alto, the Program Director of the RAAPM fellowship, and the Co-Director of the Peer Support and Resiliency in Medicine (PRIME) wellness program at Stanford.

Theresa’s current clinical practice within the Division of Pain Medicine, focuses primarily on evaluation and treatment of individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions in both the hospital and outpatient settings.
As part of her commitment to education and professional development, she lectures extensively on topics surrounding pain management both locally and regionally. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles, abstracts, and book chapters on topics pertaining to pain assessment and management. Theresa is a clinical preceptor for NP and PA students in the greater Bay Area; she also mentors and instructs the fellows and residents on the Stanford Pain Service.
Theresa is actively involved in multiple professional organizations including: The American Association of Nurse Practitioners, California Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Society of Pain Management Nursing and American Academy of Pain Medicine. As part of her commitment to safety and ethical treatment of patients with pain; Theresa has provided services as an independent expert witness on issues related to pain management and treatment. -

She earned her bachelors degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, where she graduated with Honors in Ethics in Society and was a Public Service Scholar. She has previously worked on global public health research ethics topics at Doctors Without Borders and at the World Health Organization (WHO). Her work has been published in the American Journal of Bioethics and PLOS One. Kenneth Weber

BioDr. Weber's research seeks to develop markers of pain and sensorimotor function using machine-learning and advanced brain, spinal cord, and musculoskeletal magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Weber aims to use these techniques to better understand the neuropathology of pain and neurological conditions and discover more effective treatments and preventative strategies.
