Vikram Fielding-Singh

Masters Student in Epidemiology and Clinical Research, admitted Autumn 2024BioDr. Vikram Fielding-Singh is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University. He obtained his medical degree from Stanford University and completed residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. He then pursued dual cardiac anesthesia and critical care training at the University of California, Los Angeles. He holds a juris doctorate from Yale Law School. Dr. Fielding-Singh’s research interests include improving perioperative care of patients with end stage kidney disease, using biomarkers to aid early diagnosis of acute kidney injury, and evaluating the performance of risk prediction models in perioperative medicine.

Pamela Flood
Adjunct Clinical Professor, Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine
BioDr. Flood is a Professor at Stanford University who is fellowship trained in Pain Medicine and Obstetric Anesthesiology. She specializes in the treatment of chronic pelvic pain and multiple aspects of women's health including the prevention of chronic pain after childbirth. Research interests include the role of multimodal treatment in chronic pain conditions and prevention of persistent opioid use. Her research has spanned from detailed pharmacodynamic analysis, clinical trials to population health.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests1) Collaborative efforts with Dale Umetsu and Dave Lewis in evaluating alveolar macrophage response to antigen. We try to examine cytokine activation and inhibition. I perform bronchoalveolar lavage in these patients in order to obtain alveolar macrophages which we culture, stimulate and study.
2) Evaluate outcomes for patients admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit from the EMS services for trauma and other life-threatening events. -
Michael Fujinaka

BioDr. Fujinaka studied Economics and Molecular Biology at Claremont McKenna College. He received his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Fujinaka completed his Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. He then Specialized in Anesthesiology at the University of California, San Diego. Finally, he completed Sub-Specialty training in Pain Medicine at Stanford University. While at Stanford, the Faculty selected him to be Chief of his Fellowship class. He joined as full-time Faculty with Stanford Division of Pain Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology in 2016.
