    Dr. Xia is a hybrid computer scientist, statistician and bioinformatician who takes a general interest in genome sciences and medicine. His career goal is to advance the field of precision health, in particular precision cancer medicine, by integrating novel technology, big-data, and intelligent models. Dr. Xia worked extensively on microbiome and human multiomics data modeling and analysis. His publications addressed many methodological needs in commensal bacteria, structural variation, and cancer genomics analysis. He and his works were recognized by the career awards he received from the American Cancer Society and the Innovation in Cancer Informatics Fund.   • Jiayin Xue

    Jiayin Xue

    Adjunct Professor, Medicine - Primary Care and Population Health

    BioDr. Jiayin Xue joined the Stanford Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC) in 2019. Currently, she advises and supports CERC in educational, research, fundraising, and partnership efforts relevant to her unique industry background. Prior to joining CERC, she was a management consultant engaged in organizational strategy work across a number of sectors including healthcare, social impact, and financial services. She completed her pediatrics residency training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and currently practices clinically at The Permanente Medical Group.

    Dr. Jiayin Xue received her M.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.P.H. degree with a concentration in Quantitative Methods from the Harvard School of Public Health. She also received her B.S. with Highest Distinction and Highest Honors in Chemistry and minors in English and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
