Tracy Schloemer
Postdoctoral Scholar, Electrical Engineering
BioTracy H. Schloemer earned her B.S. in chemistry and M.A. in educational studies from the University of Michigan. She taught high school chemistry in Denver, Colorado as a Knowles Teaching Initiative fellow and served as a lead contributor to ChemEdX. She earned her Ph.D. in applied chemistry from the Colorado School of Mines in 2019 where she focused on organic semiconductor design for improved operational durability of perovskite solar cells under professor Alan Sellinger and in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Lab. Her current research focuses on the control and application of excitons in the Congreve Lab. Her interests outside the lab include hiking and cheering on University of Michigan “sportsball”.

Paul Schmiedmayer

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDr. Schmiedmayer's research investigates scalable, intelligent, data-driven systems that leverage patient data and connected devices to provide real-time, personalized healthcare. He aims to validate these solutions by deploying AI-based models on resource-constrained, patient-facing devices, such as smartphones and smart devices, ensuring that personalized medicine is both cost-effective and privacy-preserving.

Jonas Paul Schoene
Postdoctoral Scholar, Sociology
BioJonas is a computational social psychologist and a postdoctoral fellow at the Polarization and Social Change Lab. He completed his PhD at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Prof. Brian Parkinson and Prof. Amit Goldenberg of Harvard Business School. Jonas’s research focuses on how technology, such as social media and emerging large language models, can change individual and collective emotions for better or for worse. In one line of his work, he examines how these technologies influence the expression and sharing of emotions and their subsequent impact on political behavior. In another, he explores how these technological advancements can be utilized to enhance well-being. Beyond academia, Jonas is passionate about soccer and has been a goalkeeper since he was 8 years old. He tries to foster a community among students and locals through sports.
