BioKat studies how young children adapt their attention and learning behaviors to best match different early environments, with particular focus on understanding variability and strengths in contexts of early adversity. A key aim of her research is to create and collaborate on innovative uses of technology and statistical methods to support health, education, and developmental science.

Camille Shantz
Research Asst., Pediatrics - Cardiology
BioCamille is a visiting medical student researcher in the Marsden Lab, working primarily with Dr. Alexander Kaiser. She is a Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation Fellow visiting from Boston University School of Medicine (Class of 2029) and earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests center on applying fluid mechanics and computational modeling to solve problems in pediatric cardiac surgery.
