Sharon DiPierro
Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, Pediatrics - General Pediatrics
BioDr. Sharon DiPierro is a pediatrician and mother of three who is devoted to improving child and community health. She has teamed up with the local health department and county parks to prescribe nature to improve physical, mental, and social wellness. She is working to increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables for all families. She also enjoys teaching Stanford pediatric residents.
Since 2013, Dr. DiPierro has worked at Ravenswood Family Health Center, a federally qualified health center that serves mostly immigrant families in East Palo Alto. She completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at Brown University, and her pediatric training at UC Davis. -

Ana C. DiRago, Ph.D.

BioDr. Ana DiRago is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine and a faculty member of the Stanford Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship. She serves as site supervisor for the fellowship’s Santa Clara County Superior Court rotation, supervising fellows who conduct court-appointed forensic psychiatric examinations, including evaluations of competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility. She provides didactic instruction and supervision in psychological testing, malingering detection, and the preparation of psychiatric reports in criminal matters.
A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. DiRago specializes in comprehensive diagnostic psychological and neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan. Her clinical work addresses emotional, behavioral, cognitive, adaptive, and academic functioning, with particular expertise in the differential diagnosis of complex presentations involving ADHD, learning and intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, severe and persistent mental illness, and cognitive decline. She also conducts forensic evaluations involving competency, criminal responsibility, personal injury, disability, immigration, and other psycholegal questions.
Dr. DiRago is a member of the Santa Clara County Court’s Forensic Panel Advisory Committee, where she advises on best practices in forensic evaluation and the selection of qualified court-appointed evaluators. Her scholarship has addressed developmental psychopathology, resilience, personality, and the assessment and prevention of aggression and violence in schools. -
