George Harpur
Graduate, Medicine, Radiology
BioGeorge Harpur is a Ph.D. student, joining Prof Daniel Ennis’ lab as a visiting graduate researcher in July 2026. His work focuses on developing methods for measuring cardiac strains from advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), namely DENSE, and assessing their use in the diagnosis and prognosis of subclinical heart disease. This involves incorporating finite element and machine learning/deep learning methods, increasing the potential of advanced MRI techniques in clinical protocols.
George Harpur is a member of the Heart Mechanics Research Group at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, University of Auckland, New Zealand. -
